PORTOFINO Sail for little over an hour passing by the dream yachts on arrival at Portofino. After visiting the impressive sailors' village, continuation to San Fruttuoso, a wonderful bay set between Portofino and Camogli, reachable only by boat or foot. Here, lunch will be served in a splendid restaurant on the beach followed by a visit to the X–XI century monastery and the Doria tower, with of course time for a refreshing swim in the clear waters.
WINE TASTING Fantastic wines crated in a vineyard that dates back to the Middle Ages! The bottling and sale of wines was begun by princess Eleonora Ruspoli Berlingieri, and her descendants are the current owners. The farm offers wine tasting and direct sale in the wine cellar.
SIENA Come and discover one of the most important historical and artistic Italian cities starts at Piazza del Campo, the landmark of Siena and continues to the 14th century Duomo. Piazza del Campo, the oldest part of Siena with its civic centre, was raised on the remains of the Foro Romano Piazza del Campo, the place where the famous horse race Palio is held, is surrounded by sober Medieval and Gothic palaces, while you find the beautiful Fonte Gaia, in the middle of the square, a masterpiece by Jacopo della Quercia.
FLORENCE Piazza del Duomo, San Lorenzo and the Medici Chapels. This is the very heart of Florence, which features an enviable architectural heritage in such a small district. The imposing complex of the Duomo and the bell tower by Giotto shows how powerful and rich Florence was at the end of the 13th century and offers a bit of the harmony of the components and chromatic lines of the Florentine artistic language, powerful and sober, imposing and always close to man.
BOLOGNA A beautiful city as well as one of the most architecturally unified in Europe—a panorama of sienna-colored buildings, marbled sidewalks, and porticos. Its university is the oldest in Europe—founded 1088—featuring Italy’s best medical school, as well as one of its top business schools. This is Italy's gastronomic capital. Sample the cuisine: the pastas (tortellini, tagliatelle, lasagna verde), the meat and poultry specialties (zampone, veal cutlet Bolognese, tender turkey breasts in sauce supreme), and the mortadella.
RAVENNA This is a city of art and culture, of mosaics, an ancient city which 1,500 years ago was capital of the western Roman Empire. The magnificence of that period has left Ravenna with a great heritage of monuments decorated with mosaics which have been declared patrimony of humanity by UNESCO. Ravenna is roman, gothic, Byzantine and also medieval, Venetian and finally modern and contemporary.
VENICE All the picture books in the world won't prepare you for the exotic landmarks like the Basilica di San Marco and the Palazzo Ducale, rising like mirages from the lagoon. With sumptuous palaces and romantic waterways, Venice is straight out of an 18th-century Canaletto masterpiece. The Bridge of Sighs, Canal Grande, and many other fantastic places in this wonderfully romantic and beautiful town on the water.
