Tour details:

Arrival to Florence and check-in at the hotel. Guided sightseeing in Florence, one of the most important art cities in Italy with fantastic art like Michelangelo's David, Botticelli's Birth of Venus and other masterpieces. Walk on the Ponte Vecchio, admire the Arno river and the Cathedral with Brunelleschi's famous dome and Giotto's bell tower.

In the morning we continue to lovely Pisa, which was the birthplace of one of Western history's greatest physicists and astronomers, Galileo Galilei (1564-1642), who was a professor of mathematics at the university of Pisa. We visit the Leaning Tower and the architectural miracles on Campo dei Miracoli; Italy’s biggest baptistery from 1153 among them. Lunch. In the afternoon we continue to Rome. Check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Rome is Italy's treasure trove, packed with masterpieces from more than two millennia of artistic achievement, and in the morning we go for a guided sightseeing of the city including the Spanish steps and the Trevi fountain among other interesting places. After lunch we continue into the famous catacombs (the term catacomb means “near the hollow” and is generally applied to all underground cemeteries discovered in Rome in later centuries) for an interesting study of Rome’s past. Dinner and overnight.

The massive walls surrounding Vatican City strongly underscore the fact that this is an independent, sovereign state covering 108 acres on a hill west of the Tiber, separated from the city on all sides, except at Piazza di San Pietro, by high walls. Guided sightseeing of the Vatican museums with the famous works of Michelangelo. Continuation to some of the monuments of Rome including the famous amphitheater Colosseo and the Roman Forum which was the civil, economic and religious center of the Roman Empire. Dinner and overnight.

Check-out and departure to Naples, with some of the richest traditions in Italy. Visit the Royal Palace in Caserta, also called the mini-Versailles, with its fantastic gardens. Continuation to Naples and a panoramic tour of the town set around the beautiful bay of Naples and lying in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius. Naples is the third-largest city in Italy and capital of the south and birthplace of the every-popular pizza. Check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight.

In the morning we visit the spectacular archeological site Pompeii, where time stopped on August 24 79 AD. Pompeii was buried under a layer of burning pumice stone when the volcano erupted and the town remains preserved as it was on that fateful August morning. It provides the richest insight into Roman daily life in the world. Lunch. Continuation to Vesuvius and an introduction to this famous volcano. It is doubtfull that most citizens of Pompeii realized an active volcano lurked at their back door. Life was good, and it would go on just as it had for 1,000 years. If you would have told the average Pompeiian on the morning of August 24, AD 79, that his city would be completely wiped off the the map within 24 hours, he would have probably laughed in your face ... Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Check-out from the hotel. In the morning visit to the archeological museum in Naples. This museum contains one of Europe's most valuable archaeological collections from Popeii and Herculaneum. Departure.
